Osteoarthritis in medical terms is defined as a metabolically dysfunction of the bones. This can further cause osteoporosis to set in and intensify risks of fractures.

The joints mentioned above, often wear and tear. This wearing and tearing of joints makes them weaker and so dysfunctional thus causing osteoarthritis.
