Run & Burn Fat 3

Posted on April 22, 2009 by admin

Burning fat is an important part of any weight loss. And it can be difficult to get rid of fat. To burn off excess fat, it requires a commitment to proper nutrition and exercise. The key to successful fat burning is consistency.

Running is one of the best weight-loss activities. Running burns more total calories per minute including a higher number of fat calories. Brisk walking is an excellent start of exercise before focusing solely on running as it can burn about 180 calories per 30 minutes.

running-fat-burningRunning increases your metabolism, which will burn calories long after you exercise. Technically, a runner will get an extra benefit because his metabolism will continue to operate more quickly after running. As a runner you are an athlete and you burn enough calories to give yourself some leeway.

Running can burn up to 300 calories per 30 minutes. To burn fat most efficiently, it is best to run for at least forty minutes per session. In the first minutes of your run, you burn mainly carbohydrates than your body turns to fat as its primary fuel after about 30 minutes.

People who exercise on a regular basis develop more fat burning enzymes. By running just twenty minutes, your body will get those fat burning enzymes working.

Running stairs is a great weight loss secret. It burns the calories too fast and efficiently. You can expend as many calories running stairs for 10 minutes then running on a treadmill for 35 minutes.

Running makes your face red. It makes you spit, it gets your whole cardio system thrumming in overdrive and when you come back, stretch and have a shower, you feel GREAT for hours after. The great benefit is that you can do it any time you want. You don’t need extra equipment although a good pair of shoes is recommended.

Milo: Product Review 1

Posted on December 29, 2008 by admin

You all know about Milo, and it’s more famous among growing children. The reason may be the taste, but it’s supposedly high in energy. And according the manufacturers’ claim the has 1,760 kJ in every 100 g of the drink. This is the reason may be due to which Milo is marketed as the “Energy Food Drink”.

Along with the rich energy elements, it’s also supposed to have a low Glycemic Index (GI), that is, “33 made with whole milk, 36 made with reduced fat milk”. This allows the energy in Milo to be released slowly. According to the manufacturers the drink “is high in calcium, iron and the vitamins B1, 2, 6, 12.”

You can add Milo to hot or cold milk to give it a malted chocolate flavour and extra texture. When combined with cold milk, it retains the gritty texture of its raw state. Milo can be stirred into steamed milk or hot water to create something similar to hot chocolate or cocoa. Sugar can be added to the milo beverage, but many people enjoy it without the addition of sweeteners, appreciating it for its subtle chocolate flavour. Another possible use is making a normal cup of cold Milo and microwaving it for approximately 40-60 seconds. This gives the Milo drink a biscuity cover on top. [Wikipedia]
