How Does Rosacea Spread? 0

Rosacea is a chronic, acne-like condition of the facial skin. It typically results in hyper-responsive blood vessels that dilate to numerous internal and external stimuli. It typically appears as a flushing or subtle redness on the cheeks, nose, chin or forehead that comes and goes. If rosacea is left untreated, then it tends to worsen over time because changes are gradual.

Some of the most common rosacea triggers include sun exposure, emotional stress, hot or cold weather, wind, alcohol, spicy foods, heavy exercise, hot baths, heated beverages and certain skin-care products.

Some of the symptoms of rosacea include:

  • General reddening of the skin.
  • Bumps and pimples.
  • Small dilated blood vessels that appear as red lines on the skin
