As a breastfeeding mother, you should have a proper diet, so that you and your child should not suffer. Sufficient water intake is very much important for almost everyone, but for breastfeeding mothers it should be up to three quarts per day.
You should be careful enough to make sure that it should not exceed to too much extent, as too much liquid intake may start reducing milk production!
Regarding food, the diet of a breastfeeding mother should include up to two thousand five hundred calories per day. This limit can be extended up to two thousand eight hundred calories per day, in case of new mothers.
