Allergies in toddlers are very common, and sometimes these lead towards serious diseases like asthma etc. Allergies are actually more likely to start up in toddlers if their parents are or have been suffering from the same. Especially when the mother has weakened body, i.e. after an illness or during pregnancy, the body defenses also become very weak. During these times if mother is exposed to allergens, the developing fetus is very likely to acquire the effects.

  • Make sure that right treatment from a good specialist is available in case if your child is having allergy.
  • Try to remove pets from your child’s play area. Pet dander is a big allergen.
  • If they have food allergies like dairy, adjust their diet accordingly.
  • Remove dust from their bedroom, and lessen the rugs and carpets from there.
  • Sheets should get a good washing each week, so that mites that might contribute to their symptoms can be removed.
