Here’re few quick remedies, that are available to you almost all the time at home.  Applying these will work for sure, but in case of severe acne problems, better is to consult a dermatologist.

  • Dab a small amount of toothpaste (paste, not gel) on pimples before bed; this helps dry out the pimples.
  • Mix equal amounts of lemon juice and rose water, apply to face with a cotton ball, and allow to sit for 30 minutes before rinsing. 15-20 days of this application helps cure pimples and also helps to remove blemishes and scars.
  • Apply fresh lemon juice on the affected area overnight. Wash off with warm water next morning.
  • For acne that hasn’t seemed to respond to anything, steep 2-3 tsp. dried basil leaves in 1 cup boiling water for 10-20 minutes, cool, and apply to affected area with a cotton ball.

Why Not To Squeeze Pimples 2

Posted on February 24, 2009 by admin

It’s always advised not to squeeze pimples, because squeezing pushes bacteria and pus deeper into the skin. This can cause more swelling and redness, and further the scars can be more prominent, and these scars may also get permanent.

Since squeezing is not the way to get rid of pimples, and it stimulates the scars so better is to have patience. Not touching pimples and leaving them as it is will let them get away at their own without leaving any sign.

You can, however, artificially dry the pimple so that it can heal quickly, and for this apply 5% benzoyl peroxide gel or cream once or twice a day.
