Many people neglect their feet though they are probably the things that we use the most on our body other than our eyes and ears. Like all parts of the body, also the foot is an amazingly ingenious device.
Not only is the foot sufficiently strong to carry the entire body for hours at a time, but it also enables us, through subtle movements, to walk and run up to 10,000 to 17,000 steps a day. Although our feet may seem strong, they are in fact fragile and must be treated with care
Here are few feet care tips:
- To keep the feet skin soft, moist and healthy, keep your feet clean and dry as often as possible. You should check your feet regularly for any abnormal color or skin problems.
- Pay attention to foot pain, and see a doctor if your feet bother you at all.
- To get rid of odour, run your feet under cold water for a few minutes and then massage them with rubbing alcohol. To combat infection, add three tablespoons of bleach to a pan of water and soak your feet.
- You can use a foot brush to get off dead and dry skin.
- It is important to get a good comfortable pair of shoes. Also the shoes you exercise in should be comfortable and not cause feet issues.
- If you have dry, cracked or calloused feet then you should keep your feet moisturized with a good moisturizer.
