We already discussed that, “craving is something that we cannot control physically, it is not just a want but it is a force that drives us beyond our usually sense.” Food cravings are a strong desire for a specific food for example, candy, pizza etc which we often go to some lengths to satisfy. Sweet or salty foods are common food cravings as are protein foods such as meat or cheese.

Most food cravings are thought to be caused by hormones, fluctuations in blood sugar levels, emotional and psychological reasons or sometimes by nutritional deficiencies. Food cravings often indicate an imbalance or sensitivity in the body. Once the craving is gone, it is much easier to be successful at eating a healthy diet with moderate portions.
