Flax oil and flax seeds are being rediscovered as true health foods. Flax seeds as these are one of the oldest foods available and are excellent for treating dry skin. Flaxseeds contain several different substances that may be beneficial to a person’s health. Flax seed oil is useful for healing scars, abrasions and also has anti-inflammatory properties and so is useful for inflamed skin or skin.
Like vitamin C and olive oil, flax oil has benefits not only from eating it, but also from applying it directly to your skin Flaxseeds can be beneficial for skin conditions, because they have anti-inflammatory effects. If your skin feels like sandpaper, or is excessively dry, you might try some flax seed oil. This nutrient plays an important role in keeping the skin and other tissues youthful and supple through their lubricating capacity.
Flaxseeds are said to fight cancer due to the fact that the omega-3 fatty acids found within it act as antioxidants in the body. Flax seeds contain a high content of Vitamins B & E, and a lack of either of these vitamins can cause the skin to become dry. As a rich source of omega 3 fatty acids flax seed is able to replenish the correct body levels of these fats.
