Dyspraxia is a developmental disorder, it is derive from the Greek word “praxis” which means “doing, acting, deed or practice. Children with Dyspraxia Disorder have difficulty in planning and carrying out complete movements but these Children are healthy, of normal intelligence and do not have any known brain disorder.

Children with dyspraxia shows a lot of problems, like they are unable to tie their shoe laces, they are slow at their dressing. Completion of class work is slow too. They are not only emotional but they have tendency to become easily distressed. From this reason you can see that life of dypraxia children is very hard especially their school life but, but with the support of teachers and the school, his life can be made a whole lot easier.
To make the life of dyspraxia children easy, there are certain tips, which are given below:

  • To teach the dyspraxia children first thing is that the child should sit in a upright position with both feet flat on the floor.
  • There are a lot of therapeutic games present there. These games help your child to make progress.
  • Another important thing is that while giving a task in the classroom the child should be seated away from the doors and windows where there might be distractions.
  • Obstacle courses could help with gross motor skills, and knot-tying activities could help with fine motor skills.
  • Use different colored pens for each line when writing on board, in this they will easy pick the lines, which are written in different colors and there interest in writing can also be increased.

Spastic Diplegia, historically known as Little’s Disease. Spastic means stiff or contracted. The word Diplegia breaks down into “di,” meaning two, and “plegia,” the Latin word for weakness. Therefore, spastic diplegia means stiff or contracted muscles affecting two extremities causing weakness. It is caused by damage to various parts of the brain.

What is Down syndrome? 0

People with Down syndrome may be born with a variety of birth defects. Down syndrome is set of mental and physical symptoms that result from having an extra copy of Chromosome 21 for a total of 47 chromosomes instead of 46. It affects about 1 in every 800 babies. The majority of children with Down syndrome function in the mild to moderate range of mental retardation. There is a wide variation in mental abilities and developmental progress in children with Down syndrome.

Not every child with Down syndrome has all the characteristics; some may only have a few, and others may show most of the signs of Down syndrome. Kids with Down syndrome usually have trouble learning and are slower to learn how to talk and take care of themselves Some common physical signs of Down syndrome include:

  • Small hands and feet.
  • Flattening of the back of the head.
  • Small mouth.
  • White spots on the iris of the eye.
  • Hearing problems.
  • Skeletal problems.
  • About half of all affected children have a heart defect.
  • Digestive abnormalities, such as a blockage of the intestine, are less common.
  • X-rays, viral infections, immunologic problems, or genetic predisposition are the other causes of Down syndrome.
  • Poor muscle tone and loose ligaments is also the sign of Down syndrome.

Autism is a developmental disorder whereby the development of the brain is effected. As a result of this effected brain development, the  damaged social interaction and communication can be observed. Symptoms of Autism can be found before the child is three years old, and can further to adulthood.

Some of the characteristics of Autism are as follows:

  • Impairments in social interaction
  • Disabilities with communication
  • Limited interests
  • Monotonous behavior
  • Having big trouble in relating with others
