A hypersensitivity to a specific substance such as a food, pollen, dust, etc or condition as heat or cold which is harmless to most people, or when your immune system makes a mistake. Childhood is a crucial turning point. This is when the immune system takes shape, and it can go down because of allergies.

There are numerous reasons, which cause allergies in children .cows’ milk; Soy can cause allergic reactions in children. Avoid peanuts and other nuts; they are also responsible for causing allergies in children. Feeding your infant nothing but breast milk for the first six months of life is probably the most effective way to prevent allergies. Studies have also showed that if a child grows up on farms have unusually low rates of allergies.

Allergies can be tracked right into the house on our shoes, clothes, hands and hair. To protect your child from allergies you have to clean your house regularly with the vacuum pump. The most important thing which can be the big factor of allergy in children is the smoke. Protect your child from smoke. The child shouldn’t have to breathe cigarette smoke. Otherwise smoke will irritate her lungs and make her vulnerable to serious breathingproblems.

Rinsing nose with salt water is one of the most effective treatments for fighting allergies and nasal and sinus problems. A saltwater nose rinse is the simplest, safest, and cheapest treatment of allergies. New research says that squirting salt water into the nose works much better at relieving symptoms than commercial saline nose sprays.

Nasal irrigation is a cheap and easy way for people with spring allergies, nasal congestion, stuffy noses and post-nasal drip to get relief. Nasal irrigation involves rinsing the nose and nasal passages with a solution made with a quarter-teaspoon of kosher salt, eight ounces of warm tap water and a quarter-teaspoon of baking soda.

A saltwater nose rinse is a very effective method of treating allergies and sinus infection. Procedure involves, fill a glass with 2 cups of warm water, and mix in 1/4 tbsp of salt. Submerge a wash cloth, press wash cloth against the nostrils, and snort while bringing the head back. Repeat 2-3 times a day while infected. It helps to do this while taking a shower or right after a shower.

Some people use a neti-pot (The neti pot is a plastic, ceramic or metal container) which looks like a miniature teapot. When using a neti-pot, the solution is poured, rather than squeezed, into the nose. The good news is that neti pots and lavage bottles have been dramatically improved upon. Pulsatile Irrigation Systems delivers a soothing stream of a saline solution into your nostrils that provides immediate natural relief.

Allergies are the condition when a healthy person feels miserable. They can show up just about anywhere in your body and create an incredible variety of symptoms. Allergic reactions can be dangerous. Common indications of allergy may include sneezing, itching, and skin rashes. People with allergic tendency can take in their diet a few simple, specific supplements to have a strong and vital immune system. They should include the following in their diet.

Copper

Zinc

Vitamin C

Colostrums

Omega-3 fatty Acid

Vitamin E
Vitamin A

Copper plays a great role in treating allergy. Copper serves a number of key functions in the skin. It is essential in the production of elastin. It is essential in the production of collagen, it is stimulated by copper, which helps to link collagen molecules to the building of collagen fibers.

Copper is an essential trace mineral with the highest concentration found in the brain. Copper deficiency is not common because copper water pipes in many homes and copper cookware are sources of dietary copper and the absorption and utilization of copper can be hindered by elevated intakes of copper antagonists such as zinc, ascorbic acid and fructose sweeteners. Copper is an essential trace mineral responsible for a variety of enzymatic reactions in the body. Copper is an essential mineral that plays an important role in iron absorption and transport. It is considered a trace mineral because it is needed in very small amounts.

Copper is crucial to the formation of T-cells and is an essential component of Super Oxide Dismutase that fights free radial damage to the mitochondria, which are the energy producing portion of the cells in your body and help to fight against allergy.

The intake of copper as its sebacate salt improves its bioavailability. This nutrient is of the highest quality and purity obtainable; hypoallergenic. Copper plays a great role in the production of keratin in the epidermis, helping to improve skin tone and texture and prevent allergy appearing on the skin.

Allergy symptoms occur when your body’s immune system overreacts to substances in your environment. Food allergies arise from sensitivity to chemical compounds in food. Allergic reactions to food can cause serious illness and, in some cases, death. The foreign protein that causes the reaction is known as an allergen. In food allergy, a particular type of food is the allergen.

Food allergens are proteins in the food that enter your bloodstream after the food is digested. From there, they go to target organs, such as your skin or nose, and cause allergic reactions. An allergic reaction to food can take place within a few minutes to an hour. The most common food allergies in adults are shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and eggs and the most common food allergies in children are milk, eggs, peanuts, and tree nuts.

It is common observed that you cannot get allergic symptoms the first time you eat a new kind of food. But because traces of foods are found within other foods, you may not be aware of the first time you came into contact with a particular allergen. After the food is digested in your stomach; you may have GI symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, or pain. The onset of these symptoms may vary from a few minutes to an hour or two after the food is eaten. People can be allergic to any food, but eight common allergens account for most food allergy reactions. They are Milk, eggs, peanuts, soy, wheat, tree nuts, fish and shellfish.

Allergies are versatile. They can affect your nose, eyes, throat, lungs, stomach, skin and nervous system. Allergy symptoms occur when your body’s immune system overreacts to substances in your environment.

People take antibiotics when there is infection, which is caused by bacteria. Antibiotics can cause allergic reactions. The diagnosis of antibiotic allergy is rarely clear-cut. It is often not clear whether the symptoms are due to the patient’s underlying condition or to the treatment. Common side effects of antibiotics includes upset stomach, diarrhea, and in women, vaginal yeast infections.

Many people have had allergic reactions to antibiotics. Several different types of rashes can appear while people are taking antibiotics. Rash is the main symptom, it is often difficult to determine whether the cause was the antibiotic, or the infection that prompted its use. Rashes involve hives (raised, intensely itchy spots that come and go over hours.

Some people are allergic to certain antibiotics. Penicillin is the most common cause of serious allergic drug reactions in children as in adults. Anaphylaxis is a sudden life threatening allergic reaction and usually includes swelling of the throat, inability to breathe, and low blood pressure.

Plants produce microscopic round or oval pollen grains to reproduce. In some species, the pollens are used within the plant for fertilization, while in others pollens travel from one plant to other via air or other medium.

The types of pollen that are associated with pollen allergy are produced by the plain-looking plants such as, trees, grasses, and weeds. Normally these plants don’t have showy flowers. The pollens that these plants manufacture are small, light and dry that can be transported easily by wind.

Some of such pollens have been collected 400 miles out at sea and two miles high in the air. Further, most of the allergenic pollen comes from plants that produce it in huge quantities, for instance, a single ragweed plant can generate a million grains of pollen a day.

You might be unaware of the fact that more than one-fourth of all adult Americans agree in one way or other that some of the foods they take in daily routine, cause them recurrent symptoms. These may include, skin rashes, diarrhea, and vomiting etc. The interesting thing is that, most of the time these allergies are not taken as allergies, instead are considered more as food intolerance.

Some people are really food allergic, and they try to control it by making drastic changes in their diets. But not taking few essential foods will not help avoiding allergies, instead it’ll deprive them of very important nutrients.

Health experts are of the opinion that true food allergies are quite rare, probably affecting less than 2% of the adult population. But still, having it checked and consulting a doctor will only and only improve your health condition.

Allergies in toddlers are very common, and sometimes these lead towards serious diseases like asthma etc. Allergies are actually more likely to start up in toddlers if their parents are or have been suffering from the same. Especially when the mother has weakened body, i.e. after an illness or during pregnancy, the body defenses also become very weak. During these times if mother is exposed to allergens, the developing fetus is very likely to acquire the effects.

Though it’s hard, but not impossible to lessen the effect, and take toddlers away from allergies. Here’re few tips that may work:

Make sure that right treatment from a good specialist is available in case if your child is having allergy.

Try to remove pets from your child’s play area. Pet dander is a big allergen.

If they have food allergies like dairy, adjust their diet accordingly.

Remove dust from their bedroom, and lessen the rugs and carpets from there.

Sheets should get a good washing each week, so that mites that might contribute to their symptoms can be removed.
