Acceptance-oriented Approach For Stress Management

Posted on December 26, 2008 by admin

This kind of approach is a way out when the last two discussed, Action-oriented and Emotion-oriented approaches are not applicable. There’s a specific situation when the individual has no direct or indirect control over the factors causing the stress. Not only the uncontrolled causes, but uncontrolled emotions also contribute towards a sever situation.

This severe condition may make one not to think proper even. In this situation, there’s no way out except total acceptance of the stress. The focus should, however, be to somehow let the time pass and survive the stress.

This situation may cause ill health for short or even long term, so one should just wait for time to pass.
