Once upon a time books used to be people’s best companions of free time, and hence they were much away from stress and many other mental disturbances. Now digital media has replaced books to a great extent and excess of information is creating lack of interest, and people’s engagement in other activities. Such sped up life is one of the major reason for stress.
I’ve heard about “Living With Depression and Bipolar Disorder”, by John McManamy. I couldn’t have it, but a review I found on Amazon sounds interesting. According to Amazon Editor, the book is a comprehensive case studies of different experts with their patients, and it helps one in following:
- Diagnosing the problem
- Associated illnesses and symptoms
- Treatments, lifestyle, and coping
- The effects of depression and bipolar disorder on relationships
The review further says that, John McManamy in this book describes his belief that depression is a wide spectrum that reaches from occasional bouts of depression to full-fledged bipolar disorder. They also claim that the book is the first one to help patients recognize this diversity of the disorder.
So it sounds that, Living Well with Depression and Bipolar Disorder can really help sufferers begin to reclaim their lives. If it seems to you too, give it a try!

It’s often observed that people get stressed over very little things and or unnecessarily involve deeply in the things that they cannot change. This is a normal and hence a common problem of most of the individuals, but in case if this situation continues, it’s harmful for mental as well as physical health.
“Let it go” is the best solution in this case. Don’t take tension of little things in day to day routine, or don’t just think about the things you don’t have control over. It may be a bit difficult, but not impossible to laugh. Just laugh at the things that normally make you tense.
Laughing like this looks different initially, but making the laughter therapy a habit really works well. The more you do this, happier you feel.
Try this out, and have a happier and stress free life!

In search of finding and reviewing good online health resources, I’ve come across “The HealthBoards“, which is a health community. It’s quite bigger one with a lot of sub categories on almost all health issues. The categorization is best for all type of users, i.e. best for novice internet users.
The About section of the site claims that it’s the largest and most dynamic health community on web. Their claim doesn’t sound fake you have a look at 400,000 plus registered members, and over 3 million messages posted.
It’s a very comprehensive Health Guide with valuable health information and tools for managing health according to the about section, and the claim again sounds authentic when you have a look at number of people online all time and the content site contains.
Further, the site also holds the credit of being one of the top 20 health information websites in 2005 by Consumer Reports Health WebWatch.

Asthma in children is mainly hereditary, but it may be caused by other factors as well. The bitter truth about Asthma is that, a child has to live with it for the rest of his life, as there’s no cure for it. The treatments are just to control the situation temporarily, but they can’t cure it. Care is a better solution, however.
Some of the factors causing Asthma, other than heredity are as follows:
- Allergies
- Eczema
- Viral infections
- Colds
- Air pollution
The severity of Asthma varies, irrespective of the causes, and more because of prevailing situations and the treatment. Again, the treatments are just to control it. Precautionary measures can help preventing Asthma go severe, but proper medication after consulting a good doctor is required.
